FOLLOW UP OF HEALTH CASES
The special initiative taken by FCM in this direction is the follow-up of cases received in the Health Camps. It is often noted that there is no action taken in direction of follow up of health cases after Health Camps. Even if there are referral cases, the patients faces a lot of difficulty in getting further treatment. In collaboration with Sir Ganga Ram Hospital’s community outreach program, FCM arranged for a weekly visit by Mobile Van in the catchment area. It is coming every Friday 1st January, 2010 onwards.
This mobile van is stationed near the area where the health camp has been conducted for a month. Apart from taking general cases it does the follow-up of cases received in the Health Camp. Recently it is stationed near Kanak Durga Camp. After the January Health Camp which is to be conducted on 30th January, it’ll be stationed near Shastri Market, Moti Bagh for a month for follow-up of cases in that area.
Another remarkable initiative has been taken in this Follow up Program by stationing a Mobile van in which several types of tests as well as X-rays are conducted. The aim of this whole programme is to bring those services at the doorstep of the community which are most difficult for them to avail.
PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT
While imparting Vocational Training component, the aim of FCM is to not only to impart vocational training to 400 women every year, but make them socially, emotionally and financially independent. We aim at overall Development of these women. Therefore FCM has taken initiative in tying up with different professionals as well as institutions to give complete exposure and best training to these women .
Apart from vocational training we are going to give classes for Functional English speaking, Personality development, General awareness, Self presentation and communication skills and also
With the aim of complete personality development we also arrange cultural programmes on various occasions. We encourage our women to shed their inhibitions and showcase their talents. The women in the community belong to different regions and states. There couldn’t be a better platform to celebrate our culture diversity and secularism. The enthusiasm of women, especially younger ones in participation is very encouraging. We at GRC wish to continue with this tradition.
