CURE’s approach to community development is inclusive and participatory and it has a team of skilled field animators who use participatory learning and action instruments (community resource and household mapping, SWOT analysis, stakeholder meetings, focus group discussions, etc) for community mobilization and project planning. CURE has extensive experience in networking NGOs and their capacity building, undertaking monitoring and evaluation studies, policy research, and pro poor policy advocacy in the urban sector. CURE’s special expertise is in developing organic Community Based Information Systems (CBIS) and customizing these for use by urban local bodies for improved and effective governance of poverty alleviation programs. |
